Cookie Policy
How we use cookies and how you can control them.
Last Updated: March 11, 2026
Overview
This Cookie Policy explains how Syndeo Holdings ("we," "our," or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites and applications, including the real estate portal and billing pages. It also explains the choices you have to manage them.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device to help websites work properly, improve performance, and provide analytics. We also use similar technologies like pixels, local storage, and tags for the same purposes.
How We Use Cookies
We use cookies to:
- Keep you signed in and maintain session security
- Remember your preferences (such as theme and navigation state)
- Measure site performance and usage patterns to improve the product
- Support fraud prevention, abuse detection, and platform integrity
- Provide localized content where applicable
Types of Cookies We Use
- Essential: Required for core functionality, authentication, security, and network management. These cannot be disabled via our site.
- Performance & Analytics: Help us understand how the site is used so we can improve reliability and features.
- Functional: Remember choices you make (like language, theme, and saved filters) to provide a tailored experience.
- Advertising/Retargeting: We do not currently deploy advertising or retargeting cookies. If we introduce such cookies in the future, we will update this Policy, list the specific cookies and vendors in the table below, and — where required by law — provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link and obtain required consent before placement.
Specific Technologies We Use
- Session Cookies (Essential): Django session cookies keep you authenticated between page loads. These expire when you close your browser or after a period of inactivity, whichever comes first.
- CSRF Tokens (Essential): Cross-site request forgery protection tokens are set per session. They are required for the platform to function securely and cannot be disabled.
- Theme Preferences (Functional): Your display preference (light, dark, or auto) is stored in browser local storage so your chosen theme persists across sessions. This does not leave your device.
- Payment Processing (Essential): Our payment processor may set cookies for fraud detection and payment security. These are governed by the payment processor's own privacy and cookie policies.
- Analytics (Performance): We use server-side analytics and may use third-party analytics tools to collect aggregated, anonymized data about how users interact with the Services (e.g., page views, session duration, feature usage). Analytics tools we use are configured to anonymize or truncate IP addresses before storage, and are prohibited from using this data for advertising or selling it to third parties. If we add named third-party analytics providers, we will update the cookie table below accordingly.
Cookie Duration Reference
The table below summarizes the principal cookies and storage items we set:
| Name / Key | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
sessionid |
Essential | Django authenticated session | Session / 2 weeks (if "remember me") |
csrftoken |
Essential | Cross-site request forgery protection | 1 year |
theme (localStorage) |
Functional | Stores your display theme preference (light/dark/auto) | Persistent (local storage, never sent to server) |
Stripe cookies (__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid) |
Essential | Payment fraud detection and security (set by Stripe) | 1 year / session |
| Analytics cookies (where applicable) | Performance | Aggregated usage statistics to improve the Services | Up to 2 years |
This list reflects our current practices and will be updated when we add new cookies or remove existing ones.
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties that provide services to us, such as analytics providers, payment processors, or embedded content. These providers may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites. We review these partners for privacy and security practices, but we do not control their policies.
Your Choices
- Browser Controls: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Doing so may affect site functionality, especially for essential cookies.
- Do Not Track: We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals, but we honor applicable legal requirements for opt-outs as described below.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): We recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or browser extension broadcasts a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and the use of personal information for targeted advertising, to the extent such activities are covered by applicable law (including the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, and the Colorado Privacy Act). Because we do not currently sell personal information or engage in cross-context behavioral advertising, no affirmative opt-out action is presently required on our end; however, we will continue to honor GPC signals as our practices evolve. Note that GPC signals do not disable essential cookies required for the platform to function.
- Preference Controls: Where offered, use in-product toggles to manage analytics or marketing cookies. Essential cookies remain active to deliver the service.
- Opt-Out Tools: You may also use industry opt-out tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out page (optout.aboutads.info) or the Network Advertising Initiative's opt-out tool (optout.networkadvertising.org) to manage interest-based advertising preferences across participating networks.
Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
If you are accessing the Services from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on your prior, freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent for the placement of non-essential cookies (analytics and functional categories) on your device, in accordance with the ePrivacy Directive and applicable national implementing laws (including the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 ("PECR")). We are implementing a cookie consent management platform (CMP) to request and record your consent before placing non-essential cookies. Until that mechanism is fully deployed, we limit non-essential cookie placement to the categories and purposes described in this Policy and take your continued use of the Services as acceptance of our current practices in accordance with the terms described herein. You can withdraw or limit consent at any time without detriment by:
- Adjusting your preferences via your browser's cookie settings;
- Clearing stored cookies from your device; or
- Contacting us at contact@syndeoholdings.com to request guidance on opt-out options.
Essential cookies are placed on the basis of our legitimate interest in delivering the Services you have requested and are strictly necessary for the provision of an information society service explicitly requested by you. Withdrawing consent for non-essential cookies will not affect the lawfulness of any processing based on consent before withdrawal, but certain enhanced features may become unavailable.
For information about the legal bases on which we process personal data collected via cookies, see the International Users section of our Privacy Policy.
Data Retention
Cookies remain on your device for varying periods. Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them. We set reasonable durations to support the purpose described above.
Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date reflects the latest changes. For material changes — such as adding new categories of cookies or significantly changing how existing cookies are used — we will provide at least 14 days' advance notice by posting a prominent notice on the Services or by email before the changes take effect, consistent with our Terms of Service. Non-material changes (such as clarifications or corrections) are effective when posted.
